Abstract:

Introduction: From a long time ago, benefiting from TECHNOLOGY has been an inevitable thing for human interests, which is born and based on science. It can be claimed that there is harmony between ethics, science and TECHNOLOGY, which promote each other. In this article, the researcher discusses this harmony and compatibility. Material and Methods: The current review study was descriptive and using the study of sources and research keywords among the books and articles published in the databases of Thomson Information Institute, Science Direct and Pub Med. Conclusion: As science and TECHNOLOGY continue to advance and become more integrated into our daily lives, ethical considerations become increasingly important. For example, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has raised questions about the potential implications of creating machines that can make autonomous decisions and take actions. If science and TECHNOLOGY were considered as a tool, it should have been able to subjugate humans and influence all aspects of behavior and values. While it has become a problem that eventually becomes aligned with morality by applying reason, and people now seek help from it as a tool.

Abstract:

Artifacts are ubiquitous and influential in our world, but their nature and existence are controversial. Several theories have been proposed to explain the ontology of artifacts. Drawing on Popper's theory of three worlds, this paper suggests a metaphysics for artifacts along the line of a critical rationalist (CR) approach. This theory distinguishes between three realms of reality: the physical world (World 1), the mental world (World 2), and the world of objective knowledge (World 3). The paper argues that artifacts have different ontological components that correspond to these three realms, and that each component is real and causal. The paper shows how this perspective can account for the intentional and functional aspects of artifacts, as well as their dependence on plans that influence different realms of reality. The paper explains how this pluralistic ontology, compared to the rival theories, enables one to explain the relevant ontological problems of artifacts. The paper also explores how this proposal can lead to a research program encompassing a broader range of technologies, such as social artifacts. In sum, the paper suggests that Popper's three worlds theory provides a rich and comprehensive framework for understanding the metaphysics of artifacts.

Abstract:

Teacher factors encompass the teachers’ cognitive and affective characteristics that are likely to affect their instructional efficacy. Language teacher immunity is one of the affective factors that determines the teachers’ psychological well-being in their settings. The present study strived to itemize the factors in novice and experienced EFL instructors’ teacher immunity PHILOSOPHY. To this end, first, the researchers used convenience sampling for selecting 62 EFL teachers including 38 novice and 24 experienced teachers at ten prominent language institutes in Tabriz (Iran) as the participants. Second, they conducted 30-minute interviews with the participants for determining the factors that influenced their TI PHILOSOPHY using a researcher-developed semi-structured interview protocol. Lastly, they used thematic analysis in order to particularize the main factors in their teacher immunity PHILOSOPHY. The findings of the study indicated that while the novice teachers considered external support as the main factor in their PHILOSOPHY, the experienced teachers regarded their internal strength as the decisive factor that influenced their teacher immunity PHILOSOPHY. The findings may have practical implications for teacher education courses in foreign language contexts.

Abstract:

In some point of view, neither Michel Foucault nor Ibn Khaldun are considered philosophers in the conventional classifications, but both are very  important in intellectual and, of course, in philosophical contexts, especially for those who are interested in the deep study of human life from the perspective of political thought. The main concern of two thinkers, one in the 14th century, the other in the 20th century, is the issue  of power, although neither of them provided a precise definition of it. In this article, an attempt has been made to show the place of power and domination in the political thought of both thinkers by examining the thoughts of two thinkers. And in search of an answer to this question, how did Asabiyyah and industry of religion in Ibn Khaldun's thought and social control through self-TECHNOLOGY and discipline in Foucault's thought lead to the expansion of the domination of power? This article is written by analytically comparing the opinions of two thinkers based on Ibn Khaldun's most important book called Muqaddimah and Foucault's late works

Abstract:

Our analysis of Popper’s PHILOSOPHY of science focuses on his concepts of tradition and situational analysis. These concepts represent innovative Popperian contributions to a historical and hermeneutical turn in PHILOSOPHY of science that most of his critics, especially Kuhn, fail to recognize. According to his historical view, Popper conceives sciences as a complex of traditions in continuous transformation and progress by means of rational discussion of theories. In order to grasp the rational progress of scientific traditions, Popper proposes an original method that he calls “situational analysis”. This hermeneutical method seeks to understand the concepts, hypotheses, actions, practices, controversies and products that scientists made to solve problems in their specific historical contexts to improve the truth content of theories. In addition to his historical and hermeneutical turn, Popper also inquired about the social and political conditions for the progress of scientific traditions by means of intersubjective criticism of theories and conjectures. According to him, the rational discussion of ideas requires, as necessary conditions, plurality of ideas, intellectual humility, and freedom of thought and communication that can only exist in an open and democratic society. With these considerations, we may say that in addition to a historical and hermeneutical turn, Popper also contributed to a social and political turn in the PHILOSOPHY of science

He said “ what I hope to establish in this work is that the Principles of war s origins involve all aspects of our nature, culture, and thinking. We fight because we believe in fighting and our beliefs have to change if we wish to abandon war. The research method in this book and this article is analytical and Philosophical.

Abstract:

Abstract:

TECHNOLOGY like other human or natural phenomena needs to be reflected upon Philosophically.Teaching TECHNOLOGYis dependent, among other things, on this kind of reflection. Different types of PHILOSOPHY of TECHNOLOGY should be criticized on the ground that some of them are popularized and shape our minds in practice. In this essay, two kinds of PHILOSOPHY of TECHNOLOGY are critecizedand a third kind is supported. Accordingto the first one, TECHNOLOGY is considered as natural-neutral in terms of which TECHNOLOGY is valutionally neutral and has one-sided effects on culture. According to the second one, TECHNOLOGY is considered as cultural-cnivaluational in which the instrumental rationality is predominant. Finally, according to the third one, TECHNOLOGY is regarded to be natural-cultural-multivaluational. In this view, other than the instrumental rationlity, moral and cosmological interests are also taken into account. Given the third version, its requirements in teaching TECHNOLOGY is discussed. Accordingly, teaching TECHNOLOGY should not be reduced to teaching. skills. Instead, il requires nOl only an access to the related sciences to TECHNOLOGY, but also to provide social, moral, and cosomological interests in the puplis. In addition, an ahilily for evaluating the consequences of the usage ot TECHNOLOGYshould he provicde in them.

Abstract:

Many books have been written to illustrate the position of the new technologies in teaching and learning a foreign or second language (L2); nonetheless, most of these books have not been successful. The Handbook of TECHNOLOGY and Second Language Teaching and Learning edited by Caral A. Chapell and Shanon Sauro and published by Wiley Blackwell in 2017, provides a comprehensive overview of the various facets of the use of TECHNOLOGY in teaching and learning an L2. This book has not been translated into Persian and no critical review has been published for it; accordingly, this study sought to both introduce and critically review this book. The current critical review revealed some advantages including comprehensiveness of the whole book, the expertise of the writers, up-to-dateness, content and format integrity, and the use of valid sources. The main criticisms are the exclusion of some of the very recent technologies, perhaps due to the ever-changing and exponentially volatile nature of the technological improvements and expansions, the introduction of too many technologies at the theoretical level without providing information about their practical use. Generally, the book is an invaluable and academically written source for L2 practitioners, postgraduate students, and researchers.

Abstract:

At the beginning, this study presents a short foreword on the existing status and significance of morality and information TECHNOLOGY and the relationship between them, and then the key words and their definitions are introduced. Then, a brief report on various theories related to morality PHILOSOPHY and their relationship to the information TECHNOLOGY is discussed. Finally, the relationship between Islamic morality PHILOSOPHY and information TECHNOLOGY is Presented. This study points out that the moral behavior of people based on Islamic moral principles are considered as internal behaviors; consequently morality in information TECHNOLOGY must be internalized in the people and force, regulations, and punishment are not appropriate tools for making people observe the morality in information TECHNOLOGY.
